Able Home & Office Alotau proudly attended the first Chamber of Commerce meeting of the year, held at the Masurina Conference Room, last 27th of January marking an important milestone and a strong kickoff for 2026.

The meeting was led by the Chamber President, Mr. Jeff Abel, who also serves as the representative of the Southern Region Province. In his leadership, members were guided through a comprehensive agenda that focused on addressing previous unresolved issues alongside current happenings in Alotau town. The open and collaborative nature of the discussions reflected a shared commitment to progress and accountability among stakeholders.

The meeting was further honored by the presence of the newly elected Mayor, Mr. Esmond Basinauro, who took the opportunity to present his vision and development plans for his five-year term. His presentation provided valuable insight into the direction of town leadership and highlighted priorities aimed at improving services and strengthening community development.

Also in attendance was the Town Manager, who actively engaged with Chamber members by responding to questions and concerns, particularly regarding the ongoing garbage management issues in town. This exchange allowed members to better understand current challenges and the measures being considered to address them.
Overall, the meeting featured robust and constructive discussions, setting a positive tone for collaboration in the year ahead. AHO Alotau is encouraged by the level of engagement shown by leaders and members alike, making this gathering a promising and productive start to the 2026 calendar year.
