In today’s workplace, managing employee attendance has become more than just a daily clock-in and clock-out routine. Many companies are shifting to biometric time and attendance systems for better accuracy, security, and convenience. One of the devices I had the chance to test recently is the ZKTeco MultiBio , paired with Able Bio Plus software.

Setting Up the Device
The first thing that stood out to me was how the MultiBio device supports different ways of verification — face, fingerprint, RFID card, and even password. Setting it up wasn’t too complicated. Once I connected it to the network, Able Bio Plus detected it quickly, and I could start adding test users.
Enrolling a face or fingerprint only took a minute. The process was smooth, and I didn’t have to repeat it too many times.

Using It with a Magnetic Lock
What really made me excited was testing the device with a magnetic door lock . This is where the MultiBio device goes beyond just recording attendance — it also works as access control.
This feature makes it practical for offices because you don’t need two separate systems — one for attendance and another for door access.
My Final Take
Testing the MultiBio device with AbleBio Plus Pro was an eye-opener into how far biometric systems have evolved. For businesses looking to improve attendance management while also upgrading security, this combination offers a solid, reliable, and modern solution. It’s not just about recording time anymore — it’s about creating a smart, secure, and efficient workplace.
