The Rev Sione Kami Memorial Church’s Bi-weekly Outreach Program: ABLE Home & Office Collaboration

In a heartwarming display of community support, ABLE Home & Office recently collaborated with the Rev Sione Kami Memorial Church’s Evangelism Ministry’s bi-weekly outreach program to make a positive impact on the local community. This initiative, spearheaded by the local congregation of the United Church in Papua New Guinea, is centered around serving the 5-Mile neighborhood and Gordon industrial area through a street feeding program and a movie night with a transformative message.

About Rev Sione Kami Memorial Church

Located at the corner of Boroko Dr. and Gabaka St. in Gordons/5-Mile, the Rev Sione Kami Memorial Church (RSKMC) is home to over 1,500 members who are dedicated to spreading the teachings of Jesus Christ and providing support to those in need within the community. The church’s Evangelism Ministry has been actively involved in organizing outreach programs to connect with local residents and offer assistance to those facing challenges in their lives.

The Outreach Program

The bi-weekly outreach program initiated by the church aims to reach out to individuals living on the streets and in the drain area, offering them a sense of community and support. The program kicks off with a street feeding initiative at the church grounds, where volunteers serve food and drinks to those in need. This act of kindness not only provides nourishment to the body but also nourishes the soul through the power of human connection and compassion.
Following the street feeding, the evening culminates in a movie night where attendees gather to watch a film with a powerful message about the transformational power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This movie serves as a platform to engage with individuals on a deeper level, sparking meaningful conversations about faith, hope, and the potential for positive change in their lives.
