Server Form Factor

 

In IT Infrastructure, form factor refers to the size, shape and wrapping of a server. Form Factor can accommodate different dimensions of computer hardware components according to its requirement.

 

In this blog, I’m going to deliberate some of the common Server Form Factor.

 

TOWER SERVER

 

A Tower Server is a form factor which servers are stored in a Traditional Tower case.

 

RACK SERVER

 

A Rack Server is a form factor which aims to save space because to save space because
servers are mounted in an equipment called “Rack”

 

BLADE SERVER

 

This is the most expensive and advanced among all form factors we discussed in this
blog. Blade Servers is the smallest form factor and can connect all the blades through
a single interface.
