Outlook Email Auto Backup ( XCOPY)

Maybe this is an old school way from back in the days of DOS and Windows 3.1 but it still going to works. All you have to do is to make a simple code block to notepad and save using the file extension .bat and you will able to backup your Outlook PST file in just one click .

 

In this tutorial I will show you step by step procedures.

Step 1: Open your notepad and create this code.

 

taskkill /IM Outlook.exe /f

robocopy “source” /S /E destination

pause

 

Step 2 : Locate your source. Open your Microsoft Outlook>File>Account Setting>Data File>Open File Location. Then Copy the .PST file source.

 

Example:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

taskkill /IM Outlook.exe /f

robocopy ” C:\Users\servicemanager.AHO\Documents\Outlook Files” /S /E “destination”

pause

 

Step 3 : Create your Network Destination that you want to backup your PST file.

taskkill /IM Outlook.exe /f

robocopy ” C:\Users\servicemanager.AHO\Documents\Outlook Files” /S /E \\192.168.3.12\Public\DATA\SERVICEMANAGER\BACKUP OUTLOOK

Step 4. Save using the file extension .bat.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Final: This should be your file appearance.

 

 

 

 

 

Then, double click the icon to automatically backup your outlook PST file direct to your desire destination.
