44 CCTV CAMERA PROJECT – WANTOK TRADING, SHP
Strengthening Security in WANTOK TRAIDING in Southern Highlands Province: Our 5-Site CCTV Installation Project
In our continued mission to support safer and more secure communities across Papua New Guinea, our team recently completed a major CCTV surveillance project in Simbu Province, covering five strategic locations. This initiative represents a significant step forward in modernizing local monitoring capabilities and helping WANTOK TRAIDING respond quickly to security concerns.

What the Project Included
Our scope of work covered the entire lifecycle of the CCTV deployment:
✔ Comprehensive Site Survey
We identified optimal camera locations, measured visibility angles, checked power availability, and designed cable and network routes for each site.
✔ Supply of Security Equipment
Each location received a tailored setup including:
- Outdoor-rated IP CCTV cameras
- NVR systems with high-capacity storage
- PoE switches
- UPS backup
- Network equipment
- All installation materials required
✔ Installation & System Integration
Our technicians mounted the cameras, installed network components, configured the NVRs, and ensured seamless remote access via PC and mobile devices.
✔ Testing & Commissioning
Every camera was thoroughly tested for picture clarity, night performance, motion detection, and playback reliability.
✔ Staff Training & Handover
We provided hands-on training to local staff, ensuring they can operate the system confidently and independently.

Challenges Faced
Working in a province as geographically diverse as Simbu came with its own challenges—remote access, weather conditions, and varying infrastructure—but our team adapted quickly. Through careful planning and teamwork, all five sites were commissioned within the project timeline.
Why This Project Matters
Security is more than just equipment—it’s peace of mind.
This installation now helps local authorities:
- Monitor public areas more effectively
- Respond quickly to incidents
- Reduce theft, vandalism, and anti-social behaviour
- Improve overall safety for workers and client
The project also establishes a scalable foundation for future expansion to more districts and communities across Southern Highlands Province.
