On the 6th of January, Lae Chamber of Commerce held a meet and greet event at Lae International Hotel. With the special guest our DPM Honorable Sam Basil. The event was organize to give opportunity to individual businesses houses to talk to DPM staffs about recent development and programs of the government. The statement done by our DPM stated his role is to encourage new foreign investment and to support current businesses whilst ensuring a pathway for more PNG-owned businesses, starting with SME’s whom they can support. To reinforced his goal to have WAFI and other key projects including Porgera operating under the Marape-Basil Government. To generate employment, support with our economy, to render confidence for investors and local businesses.
We are happy to have participated in the event and met up with other local business partners in LAE. With business people attended at the Lae International Hotel, there was a delighted approach from every individual and had the great privilege to have attended this LCCI meeting.
