ABLE Computing was happy to participate with Lae Chamber of Commerce Inc. Conversation with PNG Power Managing Director Mr. Flagon Bekker.
In discussion about major issues on Power Supply and Services that PNG Power renders to their customers:
*The unreliability of the network, with frequent dropouts, spikes and blackouts
*The lack of supply for too many of our Community
*The cost of Generators, maintenance, equipment (houses and business) from damage caused by the power fluctuations.
*The cost of power
*Both Internal and External Administration Issues
The lack of funding, old equipment and required trainings for a better skilled staffs; was one of the major issues he brought out, provided great insight into the current challenges that PNG Power faces.
Issues and factors that have been prolonged needs to improve stability of supply, outreach and growth plan for the growing population and economy.
Indeed it’s a massive challenge and approach for everyone setting high expectation to deliver a good service for the people of Papua New Guinea
Outlining some key business platforms and strategies and is to be applauded for his insight, confidence and belief in his Team and the PNG Power goals and objectives.
